A sightseeing public walking tour of Cambridge for visitors and people fairly new to the area, looking at sights that were not covered in the introductory tour, walking past such buildings as the Fitzwilliam Museum, Old Addenbrooke’s, Peterhouse, Pembroke College, Fitzbillie’s, the Departments on Downing Street, and finishing with Emmanuel and Christ’s Colleges on St Andrew’s Street. We shall talk about conduits and hospitals, fine art and natural selection, mythical creatures and fascinating inventions and discoveries; we’ll catch a glimpse of the oldest college in Cambridge and a few ordinary houses where some extraordinary people used to live.
