We shall immerse ourselves into the modern-day Cambridge – a charming riverside city and one of the leading universities in the world, rich in history yet always vibrant and forward-looking. We shall absorb the atmosphere of a few colleges open to the public, explore the location of some departments, talk about the life of students and academics alike, the nitty-gritty of their everyday study and research as well as fun times, quirky pranks and Cambridge tales and folk lore. And, of course, we shall admire the magnificent architecture and the almost rural tranquillity of the river banks and the so-called Cambridge greens.

Great way of getting to know Cambridge:
We had a wonderful walk through Central Cambridge on Christmas Eve 2020 just hours before the whole of Cambridgeshire was moved into Tier 4 (the highest Covid-19 risk level). A group was small: just 6 people. The weather was chilly but sunny. The walk was themed around Christmas-related issues and Tanya kept on picking up interesting facts resembling a magician pulling tricks out of his hat.
She has an incredibly pleasant and appealing way of presenting information, lively reaction to all sorts of unexpected questions and a friendly manner. Despite the cold weather this 1.5 hour walk was the best pre-Christmas treat one could get hold of.
I will strongly recommend guided by Tanya walks in Cambridge. They are always immersive, enriching and good fun.
